On October 17, 2016 I had my back surgery due to herniated disc on L4/L5. The pain on my left leg was unbearable. I lost strength and muscles on my left leg up to and even after my surgery. I am an active person. I love lifting weights but my doctor told me to stay away from lifting anything more than 20lbs. He instilled a fear in my mind that I will hurt my back again. A gym-goer recommended Lacey Aho to me and that changed everything. The first training session made me realized that I am weaker than I thought I was. My body was not used to using muscles that I never thought I would be using them. Lacey taught me how to use the correct forms and to target small muscles that ultimately build up my whole body strength and muscles without hurting my back again. She helped me realized that I can left more than 20lbs with correct form and mindset. Most of all, she gave me confidence that I can continue with my lifting journey. I cannot thank her enough.
